New research from the University of Sharjah and Manipal Academy of Higher Education suggests that while yoga improves flexibility, stress relief, and mental clarity, it may not be enough for cardiovascular health. The study found that exercises like Tai Chi, reformer Pilates, and high-intensity interval training (HIIT) provide more consistent improvements in vascular function. Experts recommend combining yoga with these workouts to strengthen blood vessels, reduce arterial stiffness, and promote long-term heart health.
