Canadian Foreign Minister Anita Anand announced Jeff David’s posting as Consul General in Mumbai, replacing Diedrah Kelly. This marks Canada’s first appointment in India since 41 diplomats were withdrawn in October 2023. The move follows Prime Minister Mark Carney’s June meeting with PM Narendra Modi, which paved the way for restored high commissioners and trade talks
