The winter carnival ‘Nevara’ at KR Mangalam World School, Ansal, came alive with vibrant performances and exhibitions, creating a festive atmosphere. The students began the programme with a melodious rendition of ‘Ganesh Vandana’. Principal Dr Shivani Kandola, in her address, stated that such festivals serve as a medium to bring alive the diverse colours of various cultures and ensure the holistic development of children. She encouraged students to always give their best. The highlights of the carnival included performances such as the Christmas choir, Western dance, and ramp walk, where young children captivated the audience with their delightful presentations. While the street play “Teri Mitti Mein Mil Jaawan…” beautifully spread the spirit of patriotism, a series of mesmerising dance performances kept the audience applauding continuously. Events like the ramp walk, dance class, talent hunt, and live singing witnessed enthusiastic participation from the audience, who showcased their hidden talents and received thunderous applause. Winners of these competitions were felicitated with prizes. Another major attraction of the carnival was the exhibition put up by students, featuring sketches, paintings, science models, and models based on history, agriculture, and other subjects, which received wide appreciation. Swings and various stalls set up across the campus also remained a centre of attraction.
