US: 19 States Sue Trump Administration Over $100,000 H-1B Visa Fee

A coalition of 19 US state attorneys general, led by Oregon, has sued the Trump administration over a new USD 100,000 fee on H-1B visa petitions, calling it unlawful and harmful. They argue the DHS policy exceeds congressional authority, bypasses rulemaking, and will worsen labour shortages, especially in universities, healthcare and research institutions.
