The Supreme Court expressed dissatisfaction with the Central Forensic Science Laboratory's (CFSL) approach to testing audio recordings related to former Manipur CM N. Biren Singh's alleged involvement in ethnic violence. The court clarified that it sought voice sample identification, not video authenticity, deeming the CFSL's efforts "misdirected" and the responses "wishy-washy."
