Ukraine's parliament appointed Ruslan Kravchenko, a key investigator of alleged Russian war crimes during Kyiv's 2022 occupation, as prosecutor general. Kravchenko, previously head of the state tax administration and Kyiv region military administration, was instrumental in prosecuting alleged atrocities in Bucha. The prosecutor general's post was vacant since October.
