The Maharashtra government is strengthening welfare schemes to boost fishermen’s incomes and promote self-reliance, Minister Nitesh Rane said. The plan includes modern equipment, subsidies, training and infrastructure upgrades, along with efforts to improve productivity and reduce losses in the fisheries sector.
