Kishtwar cloudburst: Defence Minister Rajnath Singh meets survivors, directs authorities to intensify relief ops

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh was unable to visit the cloudburst-affected Chashoti area in Kishtwar due to adverse weather. Instead, he travelled to Jammu, where he met survivors at GMC and chaired a high-level meeting at Raj Bhavan to review ongoing relief and rescue operations. The August 14 cloudburst near Machail Mata Yatra claimed 65 lives, with 34 still missing. Joint teams are conducting extensive search operations using advanced technology, and Singh has assured central support for relief and rehabilitation efforts for the affected families.
