IPL Teams Appeal for Tax Rematch ‘Treat Event as Sport, not Entertainment’

Indian Premier League (IPL) teams have asked the finance ministry to treat the tournaments cricket fixtures as sporting events and not entertainment, a move that would more than halve goods and services tax (GST) on match tickets to 18% from 40%.
