India Leads As Top Source Of Foreign Researchers In South Korea, Over 2,000 Scholars Working In East Asian Nation: Report

A recent report shows Indian researchers lead the foreign research workforce in South Korea, making up nearly half of all E-3 visa holders between 2020 and August 2025. Out of 4,629 foreign researchers, 2,262 were from India, followed by 518 from China. The figures underline India’s significant contribution to South Korea’s science and technology sector.
