India has launched the National Action Plan on AMR 2.0 (2025–29) to strengthen surveillance, laboratory capacity and cross-sector coordination against rising antimicrobial resistance. The strategy focuses on antibiotic stewardship, infection control in hospitals, regulatory measures and research to curb misuse and safeguard public health.
