India abstains from UN resolution vote calling for ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine

India abstained from a United Nations vote demanding an immediate ceasefire in Ukraine. The resolution, introduced by Kyiv, received 107 votes in favour. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy expressed gratitude to the nations that supported the call for peace. United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres also marked the fourth anniversary of the invasion, condemning the war and reiterating calls for a ceasefire.
