Hindus among four from minority communities elected to Bangladesh parliament

Four minority candidates, including two Hindus, have won seats in Bangladesh's general elections. They are all nominees of the BNP, which is forming the government. Goyeshwar Chandra Roy and Nitai Roy Chowdhury, both Hindus, won on BNP tickets. Saching Pru, a Buddhist, and Dipen Dewan, a Buddhist from the Chakma community, also secured victories.
