Heatwave alert: Centre issues advisory, work hours may shift

India's Union labour and health ministries are issuing urgent heat-wave advisories. States and union territories must ensure adequate rest and cooling for outdoor and factory workers. Measures to prevent and manage heat stroke cases are also directed. Dedicated heat stroke units will be set up in health facilities. Early warnings will be disseminated to communities.
