Former CRPF chief Anish Dayal Singh named Deputy National Security Adviser

Anish Dayal Singh, former CRPF Director General, has been appointed as Deputy National Security Advisor, reporting to Ajit Doval. The 1988-batch IPS officer will oversee internal security matters, including J&K, Left-Wing Extremism, and Northeast insurgency.
