Electronics manufacturing now employs 2.5 million in India : Ashwini Vaishnaw

The electronics sector employs 2.5 million, said minister Ashwini Vaishnaw at the launch of Optiemus Infracom’s Noida tempered glass facility. Backed by Corning technology, the plant will serve a $1 billion domestic market and exports, scaling to 200 million units with Rs 870 crore investment, generating 5,100 direct jobs.
