DAV Public School, Manali, celebrated National Science Day with enthusiasm and scientific spirit. The programme was based on the inspiring theme, “Women in Science – Catalysing Viksit Bharat”, highlighting the vital role of women in scientific advancement and nation building. The celebration commenced with a serene prayer, followed by the ceremonial entry of the Principal Anita Verma. A meaningful introduction of the day and the unveiling of the theme hoarding set a thoughtful tone for the event. The inauguration was marked by an impressive chemical reaction demonstration, symbolising the spirit of experimentation and discovery. A floral tribute was respectfully offered to CV Raman, honouring his remarkable contribution to science. The programme featured a vibrant theme-based dance, an insightful speech on “Women in Science – Catalysing Viksit Bharat,” and an engaging science dance performance prepared by students under the guidance of the Science Department. One of the highlights of the event was the ‘Women Scientists Showcase’, where students beautifully presented the achievements of eminent women scientists, inspiring everyone with their dedication and perseverance. A science poem recitation and placard display along with the ‘Science Pledge’ further reinforced the importance of scientific thinking in daily life. The celebration concluded with an encouraging address by Principal Anita Verma, appreciating the students for their scientific outlook, creativity, and innovation.
