Union Home Minister Amit Shah has announced a major boost for Ladakh’s dairy sector, including a 50,000-litre-per-day milk processing plant in Leh, new cattle breeding centres in Leh and Kargil, and plans to nearly triple livestock over the next decade to raise farmers’ incomes and ensure a stable market through Army tie-ups.
