Codex chief says OpenAI coding agent here to stay amid Sora shutdown

OpenAI’s head of Codex, Thibault ‘Tibo’ Sottiaux, has confirmed that the AI startup has no plans to shut down the coding agent. Tibo’s comments come after OpenAI decided to discontinue its Sora video-generation model in a bid to focus on entreprise products.
