Budget 2026 focuses CCUS, ₹20,000 crore outlay planned over five years

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said Budget 2026 aligns with the Carbon Capture, Utilisation and Storage (CCUS) roadmap launched in December 2025, with the government aiming to scale up the technology across five key industrial sectors, including power, cement, refinery, steel and chemicals.
