Bharat Forge Signs MoU with Andhra Pradesh Government to Establish India's First Private-Sector Marine Gas Turbine Facility at Visakhapatnam

Bharat Forge Limited has signed an MoU with the Government of Andhra Pradesh to set up India's first private-sector Marine Gas Turbine Repair, Overhaul, and indigenous Development complex at Visakhapatnam, spread over ~80 acres within the Andhra Pradesh Defence Manufacturing Corridor. The two-phase project — signed at the Aerospace and Defence Investment Conclave at Puttaparthi on 19th May 2026 — will deliver a full Marine GT Repair and Overhaul complex in Phase 1, followed by India's first private-sector Marine GT Development and Assembly Hall in Phase 2. The facility is expected to generate approximately 750 direct and indirect employment opportunities and will also function as a regional Repair and Overhaul hub for friendly nation navies.
