Apple appoints Meta's Jennifer Newstead as general counsel amid executive changes

Apple has appointed Jennifer Newstead, Meta’s chief legal officer and former US State Department adviser, as its next general counsel and senior vice president. She replaces Kate Adams, who retires next year. Lisa Jackson will also depart, and Apple’s government affairs division will fold into Newstead’s role after the transition.
